To address a new round of peak visit to the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition during the upcoming Children’s Day and Dragon Boat Festival, Beijing’s transport departments will dynamically adjust the capacity of the public transport to the expo park based on the tourist number and the operation time of subway and the park.
The municipal transport commission reminded tourists to book and purchase tickets online and to take a green and intensive means of transport to go to the expo park.
So far, the traffic for the expo has been in stable operation since the expo opened on April 29. Beijing has opened seven exclusive bus lines, four shuttle bus lines and suburban express rail lines, launched “expo and bus” package tickets and set up exclusive lanes for the expo, attracting a large number of tourists to take public transport to the expo.
According to statistics, after the opening of the expo, there were 65.8 percent of tourists travelling to the expo park by intensive transport, including 9.2 percent by exclusive bus lines, three percent by the S2 rail line and 53.6 percent by tour buses, and 34.2 percent of tourists travelling to the expo park by cars and other means of transport.
